Free Wireless (Wi-Fi) High Speed Internet Summer Paradise brings you the same type of wireless internet access that is found in many homes, hotels, airports, schools and internet cafes around the country. Bring your wireless laptops and PDA’s and quickly access the web and email from anywhere in the house. There are two ways to connect laptops or computers to the Summer Paradise high speed network.
If you already use your laptop with wireless networks, or access the internet using an ethernet cable you should have no problems accessing the internet at Summer Paradise. If you haven’t tried using a wireless network or ethernet cable, we suggest that you install the necessary hardware/software and test it BEFORE you get here. You can easily test to make sure your computer will work by going to a Star Bucks, hotel or friends house that has a wireless network. A list of Wi-Fi locations in your current area is available by clicking here. Using the Summer Paradise wireless network is free, you do not need to subscribe to any Wi-Fi monthly services. Note, that the owner and rental company (Twiddy) do not provide technical support for connecting your computer to the high speed internet or wireless network. Connecting to the Wi-Fi network is usually very simple. If it works at home or other public Wi-Fi locations, it will work here. Computer Printer Summer Paradise includes a HP Officejet V40 Printer/Fax/Copier/Scanner. Using it for fax or copies does not require a computer connection. The printer connects to your computer with a supplied USB cable. If you have Windows XP, the drivers for the printer will automatically install the first time you connect the printer to your computer. If you have an older version of Windows you will have to first install the HP print drivers for the OfficeJet V40 which we provide on a CD. Home Network As part of the wireless internet access, Summer Paradise includes a wireless network like the one found in many homes, that allows members of your family to network their computers together to share files, photo’s or computer games. There is one ethernet connection in the office/study and wireless availability though out the house for up to 32 computers. Dial Up Internet Access If your laptop doesn’t have an ethernet card or wireless capability you will not be able to take advantage of the high speed internet, but both AOL and MSN have local dial up numbers available. The towns local to Corolla that have AOL and MSN numbers are Coinjock and Kitty Hawk.
