- Currituck Beach Lighthouse Built in 1875 the lighthouse is open for public tours and you can walk up the 214 steps to the observation deck at the top.
- The Whalehead Club This mansion was built in the early 1920's as a hunting get a way for a wealthy family. Restored and open for tours.
- The large steamer Metropolis ran aground in 1878. The shipwreck is 160 feet off shore in 15 feet of water almost directly in front of Summer Paradise. Can be scuba dived from beach.
